For years Farah Day (Marijke Faber) has been running workshops at Theater Vrijburcht in IJburg and in the Westerpark. Also she organises workshops for corporate companies and is frequently invited by groups of people, who want a workshop for their special event.
The aim of the singing workshops is to free the voice from blockages, that build during our lives. By getting rid of those blockages we develop vocal freedom, whether it’s during speaking or singing. With movement and by being conscious of our bodies, we explore our boundaries. By achieving some fundamental skills and technique, you will be able to build on your voice. The course is suitable for trained and untrained voices. For everyone who experiences problems with his/her voice and wants to set it free and for anybody who enjoys singing.
Content: there will be lots of singing and there is room for individual attention. We will also focus on breathing, microphone technique, timing, improvisation, intonation, explore the different colours of the voice and making your own lyrics. 
Expectation: After the workshop of 10 lessons, you will find you use your voice differently. After these 10 lessons there are workshops that will go into more detail.
